By this time, the twins have already increased their semi solids intake. They eat twice a day, and with more than 4 scoops of cereal per serving. Yehey!
The day itself was spent normally, but with a bit of photo ops documenting their motor development. Alexa is a master of pushing herself forward, from an all-fours position, regardless which body part would land first (her face, usually). Good thing their regular play area is on the bed so the soft mattress would cushion her "face landing". Ariana has already developed her skills in terms of pushing herself to and fro but not yet to the point of hurling herself forward, unlike Alexa. They are also attempting to sit. Both can actually support their backs, so when you place them on a sitting position, they can hold that position for a longer time. On her own, Alexa can do the lying-on-your-side-with-legs-in-pang-de-cuatro position and her arm to support herself. Ariana does it as well but she's more horizontal than Alexa. It does seem, that with regard to motor skills, Alexa is a bit advanced. However, in the oral/verbal department, they interchange. Ariana is basically more verbal of the two. Her voice is more resonant and distinct than Alexa. She always mumbles the words, "Agroo" and now, "Ayt". Plus, she's the baby who easily laughs. I guess the development between twins are not necessarily the same, right?
Anyway, here are a few of their pics last September 27 2012...
Ariana sitting position
Ariana still holding her sitting position
pic of Alexa smiling
munching their teether and apparently their squeaky toy (the toys are clean, ok)
Ariana showing off her strong arms that can support her "to-and-fro" motion
Alexa able to climb the headboard to reach for the toyhouse.
And from that climbing position, Alexa attempted to sit on her own
And on the weekend...
