I started this blog talking about how my 2011 started. On my first entry, you would see how we opened the year with one of the most significant celebrations of my life, or our lives. Now, it is aptly fitting to make another entry on how 2011 ended for us. But before that, let me give you a peek of the special events that highlighted our year.
First off, and as mentioned on my first entry, we started the year, January 5 2011, saying "I do" to forever.
Then, we had our first ever out-of-the-country getaway. The unplanned honeymoon to Macau and Hong Kong turned out to be more of a backpacking trip rather than a luxurious vacation. But we're not complaining since the anecdotes of that trip always bring a smile to our faces.
And despite the hassle of the preparations, I was given a chance by the company to travel for the first time to Europe last April. We stayed at the border of France in Annecy on the first week, then the following week, at Geneva, Switzerland.
And the main event, the highlight of all highlights of our year: the news last August that that we will be parents to twins! My pregnancy is quite delicate since I'm carrying multiples because this brought with it risks. But we continue to pray that our babies will be healthy and normal when the time for them to be brought out to this world comes.
I am currently on my bed rest while writing this entry, which also explains the title. We celebrated Christmas and New Year here in Cebu. My dad visited me last Christmas but for the New Year, it was only my hubby and my cousin who were with me. Yes, the 2011 end-of-year was a total opposite of its beginning, but we close this year with much anticipation for 2012 since we will be meeting these two little strangers who are currently poking from inside my tummy.
Thanks 2011 and cheers to 2012!
