It was the long weekend when we celebrated the twins' 6th month. It was a laid back Monday and we decided to let them try out their very first soft solids. So, we opted to change them in their comfiest pambahay outfit.
We have the usual candle-blowing, but instead of cake, we had yummy Brazo de Mercedes from Casilda's (for a change). Then we prepared their food. I would have wanted them to try bananas but we were not able to buy the correct variety. Instead, we gave them organic mashed bananas from Earth's Best which was a gift from their ninang Nean.
Their reaction after tasting the bananas? Well, I guess not as what we have expected. I guess it was a big transition for them in terms of taste since they're used to milk. They found the bananas a bit sour for their taste. Imagine their mukhasim faces while eating. The funny thing is, they would still open their mouths when we spoonfeed them.
