Recollections of their First Birthday

This is the reason why their First Birthday was not documented as timely as I wanted it to be. It was a bittersweet occasion to say the least. Nevertheless, we pushed through with it, as what Papo would have wanted it to be. And, he would want this post to be a cheery one, so yeah.

It was a Teddy Bear-themed party. Granted that the girls have lots of teddy bears from Mamo, and stuffed teddy bears kept by their Mommy Wa, as well as my own, we decided to use these cuddly toys as theme and decorations for the party.

The party was held at Mayfair Plaza on March 2, 2013. The girls' birthday was actually on February 27, 2013 but we decided to celebrate the party in Bacolod, and scheduled it on the nearest weekend. Thanks to my dear friend, Salve, we were able to push through with the decorations and kiddie treats during the limited two days that I had for the final preparations. The food was courtesy of my aunties' catering services. It was a merienda cena so it was much quicker for them to prepare. The motif was pink and white. I know it is super girly, but it was easier to accomplish. The party, though not as joyous as we had wanted it to be, was sweet and full of love and hope. Here are a few glimpses of that happy day in the midst of our anxiety.
